Varsity Baseball Team Advances to Playoffs
The George West Varsity Baseball team finished the regular season with two important victories to finish the season with an 18-3 overall record and 12-2 in district. The Longhorns also won the Playoff warm up game on Saturday, April 26th. The George West Longhorn Baseball team defeated the Kenedy Lions in a playoff warm up game by a score of 6-3. GW Participates in Kids Helping Kids to Support Premont ISD
George West students participated in a Dollar Drive in conjunction with Kids Helping Kids, a region-wide effort to support Premont ISD. A mandate by Texas Education Agency requires Premont ISD to have two functioning science labs in order to stay open. Schools across the region ranging from Class 1A all the way to 5A participated in the effort. George West ISD raised a total of $562.92, and the South Texas schools raised a total of $65,348.55.
