We are off to a fantastic year.  Students and teachers have set their goals and are working hard on achieving them.  The 2009-2010 campus goals are:     1. Exemplary Campus     2. Positive Climate     3. Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents     4. Increase Parental Involvement   Check out the stimulus money at work!    New this year:  The junior High will implement the Infinity Project into our math, science, and technology classes.  Students will be exposed to Engineering by applying math, science and technology to real world applications.  Check out our webpage “Infinity Project” to see students at engaged!  The Infinity Project   CBC Rocks!  GWJH and Coastal Bend College collaborated and were able to expose all of the Junior High students to CBC and college life.  On October 23rd, we traveled to Beeville and toured the campus, listened to college students discuss the challenges they have had with college and getting there, listened to professors speak about their subjects, viewed presentations from their vocational programs, and enjoyed the Cougar Basketball team show off their dunking skills!  The students were wonderful and the tour opened their eyes to what is available outside of high school.   CBC Trip Heather Lee George West Junior High Principal
