Mr. Ty Sparks

Ty Sparks (tsparks@gwisd.esc2.net) is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Business Management for the George West Independent School District.  He previously held the position of Business Manager in 2001 and 2002.  Mr. Sparks is a 1983 graduate of Uvalde High School and received a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1995.  Mr. Sparks began his career in education at Texas A&M University as a Research Associate and Computer Systems Manager.  Mr. Sparks has experience in the public sector as a Programmer Analyst with United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and as an Independent Technology Consultant for education and business. Mr. Sparks also served as Technology Director for Beeville ISD and George West ISD prior to assuming the role of Business Manager.

Mr. Sparks’ office is located in the George West ISD administration building at 913 Houston Street.
