Apply Texas:

Students applying to Texas Public Universities, some private and two-year schools, will use the Apply Texas website.  This will streamline the application process.  Once you have reached a certain point or completed an application, you can "copy" your information to use to apply for additional schools.  In addition to admission applications, most universities' "Scholarship" applications must be completed through Apply Texas.  However, these must be completed the same time you are completing your college application!

Apply Texas: www.applytexas.org

For a list of general application information, fees, which parts of the application that must be completed, and which essays are required for each university:

Financial Aid:
As soon as possible after October 1, 2017, students and their parents should complete the Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  A FAFSA must be on file with each school to which you have applied in order to be considered for any form of federal or state assistance: Pell Grant, TEXAS Grant, Work-Study Employment, Stafford Loans, etc.  Many scholarships also require that the FAFSA at least be filed, regardless.  Remember, the FAFSA is FREE.  If for some reason a website you are on is asking for money, you are not on the correct website.
The FSA ID is a username and password that gives you the unique benefit of loggin into yor accounts - while removing all personally identifieable information.  Students and their their parent must have an FSA ID.
Some universities require a CSS profile.  Check with your college or university of choice to see if the CSS is a requirement.  Additional information can be found at: www.collegeboard.org.
